Use a saw or specialized pipe cutter to cut the pipes to the required length; cutting by melting (e.g., flame cutting) or using an abrasive wheel is strictly prohibited. Remove burrs, metal shavings, and dirt from both the inside and outside of the pipe ends; remove rust inhibitors and dirt from the pipe connections; and ensure the pipes are round. Strict adherence to these requirements will extend the pipes' service life.
